RHO CLASS INITIATION- DECEMBER 6, 2008
The Xi Rho chapter initiated the Rho pledge class into the fraternity on Saturday. The initiation was a great success and the chapter was informed that it was one of the best initiation ceremonies. The Xi Rho chapter would like to congratulate all 19 members of the Rho pledge class for doing such a great job during initiation and making banquet such an enjoyable experience.
Xi Rho looks forwarding to creating a great Sigma class and expanding the fraternity with the best candidates at The George Washington University!
ALTERNATIVE GREEK WEEK - MARCH 29TH, 2008
Xi Rho participated in George Washington University's First Annual Alternative Greek Week that kicked off on March 29th, 2007. Professional, Service and Honor Fraternities and organizations collaborated to promote ourselves on campus for all those who were interested. Our chapter headed the kick off on the National Mall by organizing "Olympics," a field day tournament against the other teams. Xi Rho "pulled" our way to victory winning First Place in the tug of war competition and overall found ourselves in Second Place for the entire event!
Through the course of the week, brothers attended various events and competitions such as Jeopardy, The World Cup Soccer Tournament, Iron Chef, and the Club Night Fundraiser. Delta Sigma Pi along with the other organizations raised an incredible $742.14 in a penny war! Alternative Greek Week will be an annual event, and Xi Rho plans to continue participation in the event.
MERRILL LYNCH PROFESSIONAL EVENT - MARCH 7, 2008
On March 7, 2008, Xi Rho sponsored an event to educate the fraternity and other business students about opportunities within the financial industry. Utilizing relevant industry experience, the fraternity brought in Merrill Lynch Director, Larry Badler to speak on the topic. As a key component of Merrill Lynch's Global Private Client business, Mr. Badler manages the company's Strategy, Business Analytics & Solutions group which provides business intelligence and strategic initiatives to support the core operations of sales distribution and platform development.
