About Us

Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

Delta Sigma Pi was founded in 1907 at New York University: School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance by Harold Valentine Jacobs, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello and Henry Albert Tienken. Today, coast to coast, more than 250 chapters and over 200,000 members support the goals and ideals of the Fraternity.

The George Washington University chapter, Xi Rho, was founded on April 1st, 2001. Since then we have thrived into an award-winning, prestigious chapter in our short lifetime. We are a big part of the GW community with our continuous involvement/planning in community service, professional and social events. Our brothers come from all business school majors:

As well as those majoring in Economics in the Elliot School. The Xi Rho chapter thrives on key platforms of professionalism, commitment, diversity, and brotherhood. We pride ourselves on academic achievement, the development of leaders, and making a difference in the community. Delta Sigma Pi is quite simply the foremost professional fraternity for men and women pursuing business careers.
